4-H Career Portfolio - Replaces the Building Your 4-H Recordbook
4-H Record Books are due in the Extension Office by October 1st of the current year.
The Saline County 4-H Council and Saline County Ag. Society will require the completion and submission of the 4-H Career Portfolio (recordbook) for the current year before premium checks will be available.
This is a policy in numerous other counties and these two groups felt the knowledge members gain from recording project numbers and activities is an important part of the 4-H process. FFA members will also have to complete the appropriate records before they will receive premium funds.
We are in the process of changing over from the Building Your 4-H Record to the new 4-H Career Portfolio. By January 1, 2008 all old recordbooks need to be converted to the new format. The 4-H Career Portfolio is available either for computerized record keeping or for hand recorded records. The recordbook is set up to use with the word processing program Microsoft Word. Otherwise, you must download a program call Open Office. Click here for instructions to download Open Office: Open Office Download Instructions.
